Michał Kubiak

Polish sculptor. Closely tied to Bydgoszcz. Between 1967 and 1972, he studied at the Poznań State Higher School of Fine Arts. He graduated while working in Olgierd Truszczyński’s studio. In 1975, together with Ignacy Bulla, he founded the Bydgoszcz Group Galeria 1+X. Michał Kubiak’s sculptures were exhibited at home and abroad exhibitions in the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Norway. Most of the artist’s sculptures are in Bydgoszcz collections: in the Leon Wyczółkowski District Museum and the Pomeranian Philharmonic.
