Jakub Biewald

In 2014 Jakub Biewald graduated with honours from the Department of Fine Arts at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, where he studied Sculpture, specialising in Artistic Ceramic. He was a laureate of prof. Adolf Ryszka’s prize for the best student of Sculpture major (2013). He was awarded with a PhD title in 2020 at the Department of Ceramics and Glass at the E. Geppert Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław. Currently, he works as a laboratory assistant at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław and as an assistant at the Studio of Basics of Designing Ceramics.

He participated in international exhibitions, plein air workshops and artistic residencies. He creates within the fields of sculpture, drawing, painting and photography. He is an initiator of yearly sculpture plein air workshops in Wąbrzeźno.
