Studies at the Faculty of Sculpture of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk. Diploma in the studio of prof. Sławoj Ostrowski in 2010, annexe in Artistic Ceramics under prof. Teresa Klaman.

Since 201,3 an assistant at the Studio of Artistic Ceramics at the Department of Sculpture and Intermedia at the Academy of Fine Art in Gdańsk.

Alicja Buławka-Fankidejska deals mostly with artistic ceramics. She explores alternative ceramics firing methods that provide the opportunity to develop interesting ways of arranging the surface of ceramic objects. She is fascinated by the experimental approach to creative activities concerning ceramics.

She is a laureate of a distinction (2013) and Grand Prix – Award of Excellence for a ceramic work „Into the Wild” at Cluj International Ceramics Biennale, Museum of Art, Cluj – Napoca, Rumunia (2015) and the Rector’s Award at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk (2015). She participated in a post-competition exhibition „Best 2015” at gallery Gallatea in Bucharest.

She presented her ceramic objects at solo exhibitions. She participated in several dozen group exhibitions such as Gdańskie Biennale Sztuki (2016 and 2020), anniversary exhibition of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk entitled „Metafora i Rzeczywistość” (2015), Ceramics Triennial in Bolesławiec (2018),  exhibition „Skala” in gallery Pionova in Gdańsk (2017), exhibition „Gunter Grass – kolekcja plus” in Gdańska Galeria Guntera Grassa (2016), „Ceramique 45” Chateau de Saint Jean le Blanc in France (2019), exhibition „Territories” Design Days, Vilnius Technology and Design College; Lithuania (2019), exhibition „Relokacje” in Tczew (2019), Ogólnopolski Przegląd Rzeźby Ceramicznej Wl4 in Gdańsk (2019), Concurs de Ceramica de l’ Alcora in Spain (2019), a series of group exhibitions „Metal Art” in Lithuania (2019), Latvia Ceramics Biennale Martinsons Award Mark Rothko Centre Daugavpils, Latvia (2021) and sculpture plein air workshops.

She curated an exhibition of oil painting and ceramic sculptures of the legendary lecturer PWSSP in Gdańsk, prof. Hanna Żuławska entitled „Hanna Żuławska, malarstwo i ceramika” at Bydgoskie Centrum Sztuki, September 2020 – February 2021.

She took part in a project „Organizacja, przygotowanie i przeprowadzenie projektu nadania dekoracji artystycznych zespołowi elewacji kamienic w obszarze Głównego Miasta w Gdańsku”, she created ceramic and aluminium objects on side elevations of tenement houses on Ogarna, Szeroka, Rybackie Pobrzeże and Świętojańska streets in Gdańsk (2014-18).
